Chaps Pit Beef BBQ- Baltimore, MD

Well, on the road this past weekend so took my Triple D Guide- Drive In s Diners & Dives and my list from Adam Richman & the Food Channel & headed to Baltimore & Washington.

we stopped at Chaps- a dive for sure, Small, crowded, long lines & famous for the Pit Beef sandwiches- slow roasted thinly sliced roast beef on a huge bun with horseradish sauce. I tried the BBQ combo- my husband had the sandwich . The BBQ was excellent- juicy meaty ribs & tender chicken. The sides- mac & cheese, cole slaw, baked beans, etc were good. The sandwich was good, juicy & a nice portion, but its an experience for sure!

MP Taverna- LUNCH!!!!!!

So, after numerous wonderful dinner dining experiences, I had lunch last week & it has a very interesting great menu!

Yes, they still offer a few of the fabulous appetizers from the dinner menu, but they have great salads, including a Spicy prawn Salad with mango, spring onions, corn , a touch of jalapenos with pasta - so great!

Also, of course, lamb , chicken & beef burgers, fab sandwiches including a BFT- Bacon, feta & tomato, and the best skillet eggs! I had the Skillet Baked eggs with sweet roasted cherry tomatoes, large slices of fresh mushrooms and asparagus and a friend had the spinach ,feta, peas & arugula- simply great with large think slices of toast .

A must go
